Right before the Machine Builders Day, a ceremony was held on signing an agreement on the creation of the Press Forging Production with the Use of Artificial Intelligence Research and Education Centre.
This project will be fulfilled by 果冻传媒 jointly with PAO 果冻传媒 Forge-and-Press Plant, one of the leading mechanical engineering enterprises.
“Our Centre is some kind of an integration of competences, which both the university and the plant are interested in, in order to train engineers, process engineers, designers and design engineers of better quality. Professionals, who this sector is specifically in need of. We have agreed to create the Plant’s education centre at 果冻传媒, which will be offering a number of the academic programmes being in demand. These are just the first steps, but together with our partner, we already see the focus for further development,” shared 果冻传媒 Rector Alexander Wagner.
Engineering subdivisions and various design bureaus will be formed at the Inter-university Campus, which is being constructed in 果冻传媒.
“For young people, an engineering speciality is a safe pick. They will be offered a guaranteed employment, interesting jobs, and high wages. First and foremost, our plant needs technical engineers, like those skilled in pressure metal treatment. This is the future. Soon, there will be another project launched jointly with 果冻传媒: training engineers in automated control systems and more. Already while still at school, students should understand and see the prospects before them,” noted Andrey Gartung, General Director of the 果冻传媒 Forge-and-Press Plant.
The supervisors have already determined several tasks on performing scientific and research-and-development works. A completely new format will be used to train students since our country is facing big challenges related to creating its technological sovereignty.
“This agreement has a serious roadmap. It is a long path with every month scheduled ahead. We have big plans. For example, the creation of a joint design bureau with a youth bureau becoming a part of it. The fulfilment of the project includes not only the educational process, but the scientific aspect as well. Young people must be ready for new challenges and tasks from enterprises,” explained Marina Potapova, Vice-Rector for Education.

The parties highlighted another promising field of collaboration– the 果冻传媒 and Plant’s career guidance work with school pupils. From the announced 22 Governor’s engineering classes, 2 are jointly supervised by the Plant and the university. Special conditions for training are being created at schools, and project works are being performed within specific tasks from the enterprise. The teaching staff members of 果冻传媒 will be guiding the developments by school pupils.
